Zakynthos, Greece: Shipwreck Beach

Greece has the most beautiful beaches, I have visited so far. While booking my flight to Greece, I did heavy intense research into must see locations. After conducting my research, I booked for my flight for Greece and decided I had to visit the island of Zakynthos. Upon my arrival in Greece, I instantly fell in love with the place. Everything was so mesmerizing from the structures of the buildings to the people of Greece. Soon after taking in the scenery, I took a taxi to the dock and made my way to the boat that was going to take me to Zakynthos.

Once I arrived in Zakynthos, I was greeted by staff of the hotel I was going to stay at. I instantly felt welcomed into their culture and was ready to explore the radiant island of Zakynthos. After settling in, I went over my itinerary and was ready for my first excursion. I had booked to visit “Zakynthos Shipwreck Beach”, which let me just say the boat ride there was MAGNIFICENT. Along the way, we were able to see the beautiful crystal blue waters and admire the landscape. Upon arrival, everyone on the excursion was able to explore the beach and see the shipwreck that sits upon land; as seen in the photo above.

Everyone had the opportunity to swim in the beautiful crystal blue waters and just enjoy having the beach to ourselves. After spending time in the water and exploring the island, we made our way back to the boat and prepared for departure. We stopped along a mountain tavern for lunch and then made the journey back to the dock. Along the way, we were able to see the famous “Blue Caves” that are well known in Zakynthos.

Once I arrived back on the island, I spent the next few days just soaking up sun and doing a few other excursions here and there. To follow me on those journeys, stay tuned for my next blog posts!
